In honour of the work and life of Raoul Wallenberg. The inscription on the plaque reads: "and whoever preserves the life of a single human being... it is as if he preserved an entire world."
The Wallenberg Seat is made from recycled Kauri and metal and comprises several parts which wrap around a Liquid Amber Tree in a specially built compound outside the St Kilda Town Hall. The seat was designed by Andrew Brophy and was a finalist in the Port Phillip Urban Design Awards for 2005.
